Sporting Lagos of the Nigeria Premier Football League has partnered with Miva Open University.
The goal of the relocation, according to the team, is to further the education of its players as they pursue their football careers.
The club will later disclose the identities of the athletes who will mix football with schooling.
Shola Akinlade, a businessman from Nigeria, founded Sporting Lagos last year.
Last season, the humble team was promoted from the Nigeria National League (NNL) to the National Premier Football League (NPFL).
In their inaugural season in the Nigerian premier league, the club has left a significant impression.
