Despite his focus on leading the Michigan Wolverines to a college football national championship, NFL teams are eyeing head coach Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh previously coached in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers in 2014 before joining Michigan.
The Wolverines, currently ranked No. 2, are in their third straight Big Ten title game and are seen as contenders for their first national championship since 1997. However, rumors suggest that the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears are interested in Harbaugh. The Panthers reportedly had conversations with him last year, while the Bears are considering their options with their current coaching staff and quarterback situation.
Harbaugh previously met with the Minnesota Vikings, but stated that he was no longer seeking an NFL head coaching position. The Panthers recently fired their head coach, Frank Reich, after a disappointing 1-10 season.
