Jurgen Klopp provided an update on Alexis Mac Allister’s injury after the Argentine was forced to leave the pitch before the hour mark at Sheffield United. Despite heavy strapping on his leg, Mac Allister started in the left-sided No. 8 role but went down in a heavy challenge with William Osula after just three minutes. He continued to play with noticeable discomfort, but by the 60-minute mark, he was unable to continue. Klopp revealed that Mac Allister had a cut on his leg, which was strapped up, but after being stitched, it became too tight for him to move. However, his smile at full-time hinted at all being well. Klopp hopes that Mac Allister’s injury will not keep him out for too long, but with a trip to Crystal Palace coming up in less than 72 hours, it remains to be seen if he will be fit to play.
