Despite struggling in his first start for Liverpool in almost two years, Conor Bradley received praise from his manager Jurgen Klopp. The 20-year-old full-back, who had previously enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bolton and suffered a long-term back injury, was part of the youngest starting lineup to ever represent Liverpool in Europe. Bradley was heavily involved in the game, but faced difficulties on an awful pitch and was targeted by the opposition.
However, Klopp commended Bradley’s attitude and fighting spirit, stating that struggling and fighting through difficult games is a necessary part of development for young players. Klopp sees a bright future for Bradley in the Liverpool squad and noted that even Trent Alexander-Arnold had struggled in his early games for the club.
