Damian Lillard has been performing at a level that the Milwaukee Bucks had hoped for when they drafted him as their leader in the pursuit of an NBA championship. He is quickly establishing himself as a team leader on the court, as evidenced by his impressive performance against the Spurs where he scored 40 points and earned membership in two exclusive clubs.
The first club is for players who have scored over 20,000 points in the NBA, which Lillard achieved in his 794th career game, making him the 51st player and one of only eight active players to reach this milestone. The second club is even more exclusive, as Lillard joins a small group of players who have accumulated over 20,000 career points, 5,000 career assists, and 2,000 career three-pointers made.
Lillard acknowledges the significance of these accomplishments and is proud to be among such elite company. The only other active players in the first club are LeBron James, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, DeMar DeRozan, and Chris Paul.
