Dirk Kuyt, the former Liverpool striker, has taken a step forward in his management career, just over a year after his first senior managerial role ended. Kuyt began his coaching career as an assistant at a Netherlands amateur side, Quick Boys, back in 2017 before later taking charge of Feyenoord U19s. His first stint in the managerial hot seat came in the second tier of Dutch football at ADO Den Haag, but he was removed from his post after just six months with the side sitting 17th in the table. Now, after 13 months, Kuyt has taken on the role of head coach at Beerschot, a Belgian second division side. Kuyt has signed a short-term deal to keep him at the club until the end of the season, replacing Austrian coach Andreas Wieland.
