On December 28, Nikola Jokic equaled Wilt Chamberlain’s flawless triple-double record by scoring 26 points, grabbing 14 rebounds, and making 10 assists in the Denver Nuggets’ overwhelming 142-105 triumph over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Nuggets, who are chasing the Minnesota Timberwolves with a record of 23-10 (.697), dominated the third-worst team in the Western Conference. Jokic, who went 11-11 from the field, sank his only three-point shot, and made all three of his free throws, garnered attention for his impressive athletic dunk during the game. He now shares the distinction of having multiple triple-doubles without missing a field goal from a minimum of 10 attempts with the legendary Chamberlain. In addition, Jokic had a stellar performance in the Nuggets’ 120-114 victory over the Golden State Warriors on December 25, making all 18 of his free throw attempts.
