Football Insider sources report that Lamare Bogarde is set to return to Aston Villa from his loan at Bristol Rovers and sign a new deal with a Championship club. The Villans had planned to end Bogarde’s spell at the League One club this month and secure him a new team in the second tier for the rest of the season. Despite making 18 appearances in all competitions this season, the 19-year-old has not received much game time since Matt Taylor replaced Joey Barton as Rovers boss. Taylor had previously attempted to sign Bogarde when he was at Rotherham, but both the player and Villa rejected the offer. However, Bogarde is now expected to move to the Championship to challenge himself at a higher level.
