James Milner added another milestone to his impressive Premier League career as he played the full 90 minutes for Brighton against West Ham, marking his 632nd appearance in the league. This achievement puts him on par with Ryan Giggs, who played his entire career at Manchester United. Milner’s next league game will see him move up to second place on the all-time appearance list, with only Gareth Barry ahead of him. Despite making his debut for Leeds at the age of 16, Milner shows no signs of slowing down at 37 and still enjoys playing at the elite level. His current deal at Brighton expires this summer, but with 13 appearances already this season, he clearly has a place in the squad. Milner attributes his longevity to taking advantage of coaching, facilities, physios, and sport scientists, and still enjoying the game. With his engine still ticking along nicely, Milner could very well break the competition’s all-time appearance record.
