The completion of Tom Brady’s Miami mansion is approaching, featuring impressive amenities. The New England Patriots, once a dominant NFL team, are in need of a reset after a disastrous 2023 season that will land them in last place in the AFC East for the first time in over two decades. It remains uncertain whether Bill Belichick, who has led the team to six Super Bowl victories since 2001, will be present for the team’s rebuild. Rumors have circulated throughout the season that Belichick and Patriots owner Robert Kraft will part ways after the season finale on Jan. 7. During his appearance on “The Greg Hill Show” on Tuesday, Belichick did not dispel the speculation that Sunday’s game against the New York Jets would be his final game in charge. Belichick is known for his privacy and lack of social media use, jokingly stating that any announcement of departure or retirement would be made via Twitter (now known as X) or “MyFace,” a combination of MySpace and Facebook. Belichick has not led a last-place team since his first season in New England in 2000. The Patriots have won their last 15 games against the Jets, making them a favorable opponent for Belichick’s potential final game. If the Patriots lose, they will secure no worse than the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, allowing them to start a new era with a highly-touted rookie quarterback. A win could result in the Patriots falling out of the top five, prolonging the organization’s rebuild under Belichick or his successor as head coach and general manager.
