On Wednesday, January 3, a fire broke out in a Southwest Ranches, Florida house, causing it to erupt into flames. The Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver had a disappointing start to the year due to this incident.
Tyreek Hill’s $6.9M mansion caught fire, and he was horrified when he saw it. It is unclear if the child who accidentally started the fire is related to Hill. TMZ Sports reported that the incident is being treated as accidental, and no further investigations will take place. The fire was brought under control in the afternoon with a water hose, and no one was injured. Hill was not on the property as he was training with the Dolphins for their Week 18 match-up against the Buffalo Bills.
Despite the loss of his $7m property, Hill took it well when he arrived back at the property at around 15:00 ET, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Rosenhaus said to 7News that Hill was handling the situation with as much poise as possible, considering the circumstances.
Both the Dolphins and the Bills have a chance to win their division, giving them the best opportunity to win the Super Bowl. The Dolphins suffered a devastating defeat on New Year’s Eve in Baltimore, and the Bills have won four-straight games since losing to the Philadelphia Eagles, including victories over the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Chargers, and New England Patriots.
