Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise has been recently linked with a move to Arsenal. According to TalkSPORT, the Gunners have been informed of the release clause in Olise’s new contract. However, other top clubs such as Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea are also reportedly interested in the player. Arsenal may consider adding Olise to their attacking ranks to reduce the workload on Saka and Martinelli. Olise is a proven player in the Premier League and can be a valuable addition to the Gunners. Interestingly, Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger had given advice to Olise in 2022. In the same year, former Arsenal player and current Crystal Palace manager, Vieira, also suggested that Olise needs to work on scoring more goals, making more assists, and improving his defense.
Although there are areas for improvement, the potential for greatness is evident in him.
The extent of his success will depend on his dedication to training and willingness to make sacrifices to reach his goals.
During the 2022-23 season, Olise contributed two goals and an impressive 11 assists.
Despite being sidelined with a hamstring injury until November of this season, the Frenchman has performed well in terms of scoring goals.
He has played in nine Premier League matches this season, scoring five goals and providing one assist. Four of those goals, as well as the assist, have been achieved in his last four games.
Olise has met the expectations set by Wenger and Vieira. If he continues to progress, Mikel Arteta could become his next mentor as a player for Arsenal.
