Nick Caley is a candidate for the Patriots’ offensive coordinator position for the second year in a row. He previously interviewed for the job in 2023 but ended up joining the Rams. However, with Bill O’Brien leaving for Ohio State, the position is open again. Jerod Mayo is still interested in Caley, and he is set to interview for the position on Monday. Caley spent this season as the Rams’ tight ends coach, a role he previously held in New England. He worked with Rob Gronkowski during his final years with the team and won two Super Bowl rings. The Jets and Texans also considered Caley for their offensive coordinator positions last year, but they ultimately went with other candidates. This would be a significant opportunity for Caley, as the Patriots will have a different play-caller for the fourth consecutive season.
