Although Spurs initially plan to sign McAteer for the long term, they may make a bid for the 22-year-old soon. McAteer is a versatile player who can operate as an attacking midfielder or winger, and he has played as a wide forward this season on both the right and left flanks. He has made eight starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship, scoring four goals, and has also played in the Carabao Cup, scoring one goal. Jacobs believes that McAteer is a player that Postecoglou would like, and he is someone that Spurs have on their radar for 2025.
