After missing 11 games with an ankle injury, the 27-year-old is nearing his return to the pitch. Maddison was forced to exit the game against Chelsea with a 4-1 defeat in November and has yet to make an appearance since. According to reports, the Englishman is eager to participate in the upcoming FA Cup match against Manchester City as he continues to progress in his recovery. Recently, The Athletic revealed that Maddison remained at Tottenham’s Hotspur Way training facility while his teammates took a mid-season break. The Spurs team had earned some much-needed rest after a challenging first half of the season. Maddison resumed full training last week in preparation for his return to action.
