According to a report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network on Friday afternoon, the Seattle Seahawks have hired Leslie Frazier, the former defensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills, as their assistant head coach. Frazier, who is 64 years old, took a break from coaching in 2023 after leading the Bills’ defense for six years. Under his leadership, Buffalo finished in the top five in both scoring and total defense three times. On Jan. 10, Seattle parted ways with longtime coach Pete Carroll and hired Mike Macdonald as its head coach on Wednesday. Frazier has served as the defensive coordinator for four different teams and was the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 2010-2013, leading them to the playoffs in 2012 but losing to the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round. With the exception of his year off, Frazier has been involved with NFL coaching in some capacity every season since 1999.
