Last week, news broke of Dorsey’s hiring, but the Browns made it official on Monday morning. Additionally, they hired Tommy Reese as a tight ends coach and pass game specialist, Jacques Cesaire as a defensive line coach, and Duce Staley to coach running backs.
According to a news release, “Ken has worked with and elevated some of the top quarterbacks in this league and will bring a fresh approach to our offense,” said Stefanski.
As of 2023, the Bills scored the sixth-most points and totaled the fourth-most yards. They ranked seventh in rushing and eighth in passing. However, the Bills fired Dorsey on Nov. 14 after losing to the Denver Broncos, and Joe Brady took over as offensive coordinator for the rest of the season.
Dorsey, who played quarterback for the Browns for three seasons, previously worked as a scout and quarterbacks coach for the Carolina Panthers. In January, Stefanski fired former Browns offensive coordinator Joe Woods.
Despite major injuries throughout the 2023-24 campaign, including to starting quarterback Deshaun Watson, the Browns ranked No. 16 in yards and No. 10 in points during the regular season.
