Myles Garrett, the pass rusher for the Cleveland Browns, recently shared his opinion on a quarterback in the league who he believes is unfairly hated. Surprisingly, he named Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills as the target of this unwarranted animosity. Garrett spoke highly of Allen, praising his exceptional skills and impressive statistics that are rarely seen in the league. While every quarterback in the league has haters, Allen seems to attract more from fans of rival teams such as the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, and the New York Jets. However, some experts and critics have also been vocal about their negative opinions of Allen, especially after his career-worst 18 interceptions in the 2023 season. Despite this, Allen still managed to pass for over 4,300 yards and 29 touchdowns while adding 524 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. As a five-time Pro Bowler and the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year, Garrett has extensive knowledge of quarterbacks in the league, as he studies his opponents’ starting gunslingers to better hunt them in the pocket. The last time Garrett and Allen crossed paths was in Week 11 of the 2022 NFL season when the Cleveland Browns lost to the Bills in Detroit, with Garrett recording a sack and Allen throwing for 197 passing yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions.
