The potential departure of boundary receiver Gabe Davis in free agency is a major concern for the Buffalo Bills, who struggled to find a reliable perimeter presence opposite superstar Stefon Diggs. With limited funds for free agency, the Bills are looking to the 2024 NFL Draft to fill the void left by Davis. LSU’s Brian Thomas Jr. is the top candidate for the 28th pick, given his high-variance vertical threat archetype. However, The Ringer’s first post-Super Bowl mock draft has the Bills selecting Florida State Seminoles receiver Keon Coleman instead. While Coleman has similarities to Thomas, he has fallen in draft rankings due to inconsistent production and red flags in his profile. Despite this, analyst Benjamin Solak believes Coleman’s potential as a high-end WR1 makes him worth the risk, especially with Josh Allen as his quarterback. The Bills need to add depth to their outside WR room, even if Diggs stays content in Buffalo. Davis caught 45 of his 81 targets for 746 yards and seven touchdowns.
