potential free agents abound for the Baltimore Ravens on both sides of the ball, and it’s unlikely that they’ll re-sign many of them. As they search for new additions to their receiving corps, one potential target could be Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills, who seems to have fallen out of favor with his current team.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, however, the Bills are favored to retain Diggs at -300. If he does end up leaving Buffalo via trade, DraftKings has the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans as co-favorites at +1000. The New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and Baltimore Ravens are each at +1200.
At +1600, the Carolina Panthers have the next highest odds after the Atlanta Falcons at +2000. The Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals, and New York Giants all share the same odds at +2500. However, Diggs comes with a hefty price tag of an $18.5 million salary and a cap hit of $27.854 million for the upcoming season. If he is traded before June 1, the cap hit will increase to $31 million.
Should the Bills release him with a post-June 1 designation or trade him after that date, the cap hit for 2024 will be $8.849 million and $22.247 million for 2025. This marks the second time that Diggs has found himself in a similar scenario, where he desires to leave his current team. In 2020, he expressed his wish to leave Minnesota and was promptly traded to Buffalo.
