At the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, the New England Patriots wasted no time and reportedly met with several top draft prospects. Among them were quarterbacks Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, J.J. McCarthy, Bo Nix, and Caleb Williams. Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was also on their radar. Director of scouting Eliot Wolf revealed that the Patriots are searching for toughness as a primary trait in players. While mock drafts had predicted Maye or Daniels as their top pick, NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah suggested Harrison as a potential choice. However, the Patriots seem to be doing their homework on all quarterback prospects, even if it means trading up for No. 1.
