According to Over the Cap, the team has had a positive adjustment of $5.7 million due to various factors such as unearned incentives, bonus repayments, and salary offsets. As a result, the 49ers now have an adjusted cap of $296.6 million for the upcoming season, the highest in the NFL. The Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals follow with $289.9 million and $269.6 million respectively. Despite being over the allotted cap by $284,282, the 49ers can create space through restructures, extensions, or cap casualties.
