In preparation for the upcoming NFL season in 2023, the Carolina Panthers made a daring move by trading with the Chicago Bears for the top overall pick, with the goal of acquiring a quarterback who could potentially become the franchise’s new face.
Despite much discussion surrounding the best available quarterback in last year’s draft, the Panthers ultimately selected Bryce Young from the University of Alabama.
Unfortunately, Young struggled during his rookie year in the NFL, with Carolina only winning two games in the 2023 season.
This was not a good outcome for Young or the Panthers, especially with C.J. Stroud, who was chosen at No. 2, leading the Houston Texans to 10 wins, an NFC South division title, and a playoff victory over the Cleveland Browns.
As the Panthers look for signs of improvement from Young, new head coach Dave Canales discussed his approach with the 22-year-old quarterback in an interview with Around The NFL.
