The Carolinas are getting more and more excited as the 2024 NFL Draft draws closer. The Panthers finally have a quarterback to build around in Bryce Young after trading quarterbacks for a few years in an attempt to rejuvenate their careers.
The Panthers’ inability to own their first-round selection, which would have been first overall, is the issue. That was part of the agreement that allowed the Chicago Bears to select Young earlier in the draft in the previous year. This team would benefit greatly from having the first selection, but if the trade didn’t go through, you also wouldn’t have Young. The Panthers will thus need to assemble a roster through free agency and hope that the selections they do have work out.
