Some supporters speculate that a another former player might follow shortly after.
After playing with the Bills from 2018 to 2021 and then leaving to join the Pittsburgh Steelers, Levi Wallace gave rise to rumours on Instagram that he would be coming back to Buffalo. On March 10, the eve of the league’s authorised tampering period, Wallace posted a series of images, one of which showed him strolling down the tunnel at Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium while sporting a Steelers jersey.
The caption read, “Felt like you missed me so.” Wallace added the comment.
Fans of the Buffalo Bills speculated that he might be hinting at a wish to return to Buffalo after seeing the post.
After signing with the Bills in 2018 as an undrafted free agent, Wallace assumed a key role in the secondary right away. Over the next four seasons, Wallace played in 52 games, starting all of them. He totaled 219 tackles and six interceptions.
In his two seasons in Pittsburgh, the 28-year-old cornerback played in 18 games, recording 86 total tackles, six interceptions, and a reduced role. Wallace had already made hints that he would not be joining the Steelers again, stating that he was eager to start a new chapter in his career during an appearance on “Good Morning Football” on March 8.
