In a thrilling 2-1 double-overtime game, Carson Gallagher scored the winning goal to send his Toronto Metropolitan University Bold to the semifinals of the tournament they are hosting. All the scoring occurred in the first period before Gallagher’s dramatic overtime goal sealed the victory. Although the Dinos had more shots on goal, the Bold managed to limit their scoring opportunities. The game remained tied through regulation and the first overtime period, with both goalies making key saves. Ultimately, Gallagher’s goal in double overtime secured the win for the Bold, advancing them to face the University of New Brunswick Reds in the semifinals. The Dinos bid farewell to four graduating players as they close out a successful season.
