During the 2024 offseason, the New Orleans Saints have experienced their first significant loss in free agency. Yiadom was a crucial part of the Saints’ secondary last season, filling in admirably when Marshon Lattimore got injured. With fourteen pass breakups under his belt, Yiadom, 28, would have been valuable depth this season had he stayed with the team. In his eight starts in 2023, Yiadom only had two penalties and allowed a completion rate of 48.9%, ranking 12th in the NFL. Not only did he excel on defense, but he also contributed on special teams, racking up 267 ST snaps, the fifth-most on the team. His standout performance means the Saints now have to find a replacement for him at cornerback. While there are exciting options in free agency, the team will also be keeping an eye on the NFL Draft to bolster their secondary.
