Buffalo Bills’ Damar Hamlin criticized Antonio Brown for a controversial social media post that seemed to make light of Hamlin’s cardiac arrest during the 2022 season. The exchange between the two players on Twitter was filled with profanities. Hamlin expressed his disappointment in Brown’s behavior, stating that he used to look up to him. Hamlin’s return to game action last season after his cardiac arrest was a feel-good story, but some individuals, like Brown, continue to make jokes about the scary situation. Hamlin was originally drafted by the Bills in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and played in 14 games during his rookie season. The 26-year-old went into cardiac arrest during Buffalo’s Week 17 ‘Monday Night Football’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Jan. 2, 2023. He spent much of last year recovering. It is evident that Hamlin ‘used to look up to’ Brown. The seven-time Pro Bowler spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2010-18. Hamlin is from McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, and played five seasons at the University of Pittsburgh from 2016-20.
