The Toronto Maple Leafs have officially signed forward Jacob Quillan to a two-year entry-level contract with an annual average value of $875,000, starting in the 2024-25 season. Quillan, who recently completed his season with the Quinnipiac Bobcats in the NCAA, had an impressive year with 17 goals and 29 assists for a total of 46 points in 39 games. Before his NCAA career, Quillan played in the BCHL with the Penticton Vees and was also drafted by the Quebec Remparts in the QMJHL. Quillan has been recognized for his contributions on the ice, particularly in the NCAA tournaments. Prospect analyst Steven Ellis believes that Quillan has the potential to make a positive impact in the NHL, as a solid bottom-six forward with strong transition skills and penalty-killing abilities.
