In a mock draft scenario, the two-time defending Super Bowl champions traded picks with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to move ahead of the Bills and select LSU receiver Brian Thomas Jr. This move would make sense for the Chiefs as they are in need of a tall field-stretcher to play along the boundary, which Thomas would provide given his size, speed, and potential contract length. Adding Thomas to Kansas City’s receiver room would give quarterback Patrick Mahomes his first true X-receiver in the NFL.
