The Jacksonville Jaguars have high expectations for free agent wide receiver Gabe Davis, whom they signed to a three-year, $39 million deal in free agency. The former Buffalo Bill is expected to enhance the Jaguars’ passing game, filling the void left by Calvin Ridley and aiming to surpass last year’s disappointment. Nathaniel Marrero of Bills Central provides an analysis of what Davis brings to the team. Marrero notes that Davis is known for his big play ability, consistently averaging over 15 yards per catch and excelling as a red-zone target. However, Marrero also points out Davis’s inconsistency in the number of targets and catches, as well as occasional communication issues with his former quarterback, Josh Allen. Marrero believes that while Davis’s departure will be felt by the Bills, it is not a devastating loss, but they will need to find a replacement with similar capabilities to maintain their offensive production.
