The 24-year-old was awarded his first England cap earlier in the season, but he hasn’t been able to establish himself as an Arsenal regular. He has been connected to teams like West Ham United and Crystal Palace in recent months.
Any team hoping to sign Nketiah away from Arsenal, meanwhile, will apparently have to shell out a lot of cash. Arsenal wants the bidding to begin at £40 million, according to HITC.
The forward, who Arsenal is supposedly prepared to cash in on as they attempt to revamp their team in the summer, is also attracting interest from Fulham and AFC Bournemouth as well. Both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City have previously been mentioned as having interest in the frontman.
Folarin Balogun, another product of the Arsenal youth, was sold to AS Monaco last year for an alleged £34 million. Compared to Nketiah, Balogun saw less senior action with the Gunners.
In the summer of 2019, Nketiah was loaned to Leeds ahead of Marcelo Bielsa’s second season as manager. Although Patrick Bamford demonstrated potential at Elland Road, Bielsa favoured using him as a lone forward.
Arsenal triggered a recall provision in his contract during the January transfer window as he had trouble earning starts in West Yorkshire. For the Gunners, he has made 167 appearances and scored 38 goals.
