Curtis Samuel is making his second move in his NFL career, leaving the Carolina Panthers to join the Buffalo Bills. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Samuel has signed a three-year, $24 million contract with the Bills, with $15 million guaranteed and the potential to earn up to $30 million with incentives. The former Ohio State wide receiver was initially selected by the Panthers in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and spent four seasons with them, dealing with some injuries along the way. During his time in Carolina, Samuel caught 185 passes for 2,087 yards and 14 touchdowns, with an additional 478 rushing yards and five scores on 72 carries. He then signed a three-year, $34.5 million contract with the Washington Commanders, where he played alongside Terry McLaurin, catching 132 passes for 1,296 yards and eight touchdowns, and rushing for 237 yards and two more touchdowns. In his six-year NFL career, Samuel has recorded 255 receptions for 2,770 yards and 18 touchdowns, along with 114 carries for 676 yards and six scores. His most productive season was with the Panthers, where he caught 77 passes for 851 yards and three touchdowns and rushed 41 times for 200 yards and two more scores. Samuel had a successful college career at Ohio State, where he showcased his versatility and playmaking abilities as a running back and receiver, leaving as the only player in Buckeye history to achieve over 1,000 yards rushing and receiving.
