For a Carolina Panther team that ended 2023 with the worst record in the NFL, it has been an awful 12 months. In the next season, the squad plans to bounce back and centre its plans around Bryce Young, the 2023 overall first choice.
The Panthers have made significant adjustments to both the coaching staff and the players in response to a challenging season. A dejected Panthers fandom, which has suffered since running back Christian McCaffrey left in 2022, cheered Diontae Johnson’s arrival. The former receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Johnson, thinks he could be the one to turn this team around.
Just a guy who can be honest and reassure him that he will be okay when he returns
Star receiver Johnson was acquired by the Panthers in exchange for Donte Jackson and a sixth round pick over the summer, as they were eager to add a top receiver to their roster. In addition to Jonathan Mingo and Adam Thielen, the Panthers intend to reassemble their wide receiving group.
Carolina had the worst record in the NFL at the end of the previous season, finishing 2-15. Bryce Young had great expectations, and the team is working hard to make sure he has everything he needs to be successful in 2024.
