Looking at trends by school is important because speaking to a player’s teammates or competitors can provide valuable insights. Despite the difficulty in deciphering much from the data, in 2024, of the 45 players who met with the Bills, they came from 35 different schools. Only seven schools had multiple players meeting with Buffalo, with Florida State and Texas having more than two players each (four from Florida State and three from Texas). However, it’s still challenging to draw significant conclusions from this data. The repeat visits with these schools may simply be due to their reputations for producing talented players. For instance, the visits with Florida State players covered three different positions, while two receivers each from Florida and Texas met with Buffalo. Worthy and Coleman from Texas and Wilson and Mitchell from Florida had repeat meetings with Buffalo either at the NFL Scouting Combine or top-30 visits. Except for Trey Benson, who was a top-30 visit, all other interactions were at the combine.
This is pretty simple – remember my personal approach to drafting is selecting the best player for our team. It’s important for draft picks to suit the team’s needs. A standout player might not necessarily be the right fit for your team. Meeting potential players can help in deciding who is compatible with the team. If Buffalo is revisiting a player, it likely means they saw potential in them. There is no point in spending time on a player who didn’t make a good impression initially. Here is the chart.
