“I think Buffalo would love to move heaven and earth to get Rome Odunze,” ESPN’s Matt Miller said on the Dan Patrick Show. “I completely agree with this strategy.” Odunze, a potential Top 10 pick, would almost definitely require moving up from the Bills’ current first-round position at No. 28 overall to draft him. The Buffalo Bills are definitely candidates to trade up the draft board and secure a top-flight receiver. After trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, Buffalo has an opening at the WR1 spot, and one draft expert reported that general manager Brandon Beane is eyeing Odunze to fill that spot.

“If you could take this year’s first, next year’s first and get a Rome Odunze in the Top 10 potentially,” Miller stated. Buffalo is, in my opinion, one of the few clubs where you could actually make the case that you’re close. You have the infrastructure and the quarterback. That rookie wide receiver is essential. You need the guy who can be among the best players at his position and makes $5 million annually.
With 1,640 receiving yards, All-American Odunze topped all NCAA FBS players. Washington made it all the way to the CFP National Championship Game.
