The Bills were frequently rumored to be interested in drafting a wide receiver, and there were talks of a potential trade involving Deebo Samuel. However, no deal was reached on the trade front, and it is unlikely that a significant trade involving wide receivers will happen in the future. Buffalo initially held the 28th pick in the draft but traded down twice. As a result, when they started Day 2, three receivers had already been picked, narrowing their choices. Despite receiving trade offers, they opted to select Keon Coleman from Florida State. This addition provides another starting option to their receiving group, which recently acquired Curtis Samuel and Quintez Cephus in free agency. Although they have to fill the void left by Stefon Diggs’ departure, making a move for another experienced receiver is unlikely due to their current salary cap constraints. Bills’ GM Brandon Beane stated post-draft that a receiver trade is not feasible given their financial situation, with limited cap space left for signing their draft picks. Any further acquisitions would require additional cost-saving measures.
