The wide receiver, Quintez Cephus, has officially joined the Buffalo Bills team after inking a one-year contract with the Bills. Cephus was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft as the 166th overall pick by the Detroit Lions. He spent the 2020 to 2022 seasons with the Lions before making the move to the Bills. In April of last year, Cephus was among the players suspended indefinitely for betting on NFL games in 2022. Following the suspension, the Lions released him and he sat out the entire 2023 season. However, Cephus has now been reinstated by the league, along with Shaka Toney of the Washington Commanders and C.J. Moore of the Detroit Lions. Moore and Toney are currently unsigned free agents.
The Bills are currently without wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, as Diggs was traded to the Houston Texans and Davis was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
According to the Associated Press, the Buffalo team has added Curtis Samuel to their roster and also selected Keon Coleman in the recent draft, a former prospect from Florida State. Cephus has played in a total of 22 games so far, recording 37 receptions, 568 receiving yards, and 4 receiving touchdowns in his career.
