Despite the widespread concerns around Xavier Legette’s hamstring injury, head coach Dave Canales of the Carolina Panthers is telling everyone to relax.
Legette was not able to participate in Wednesday’s practice due to the absence of rookie running back Jonathan Brooks, who continues to heal from an ACL injury.
Canales informed reporters that Legette hadn’t been practicing because he was being extremely cautious.
Canales stated, “[It was] Just a precaution.” “When newcomers arrive here, they frequently discover that the work is at a different level. Not that they haven’t practiced for this long, but everyone is moving quickly. Everyone is going. Naturally, when their wheels are turning, the body and brain are both under strain.”
Legette’s health is critical as the Panthers prepare for a demanding summer. In the redesigned offence, which aims to maximise the potential of second-year quarterback Bryce Young, he will be a key component.
Canales stated that Legette’s hamstring issue isn’t very significant.
He simply appeared tight, Canales remarked. He only slowed down for a little while during practice. The trainers struck up a conversation with him right away. Now is the time to act sensibly about it.”
Legette is doing great, practise or not.
