Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, is trying to make his throwing motion “as efficient as possible” during the offseason.
According to ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg, Allen stated, “I wouldn’t call it a complete overhaul of my throwing motion, but definitely some things to work on and clean up.” “Lengthening my arm and reducing the length of my stride. So I’m simply attempting to tidy that up. It is inevitable that experiencing something similar will not always result in a completely positive feeling. Similar to altering your golf swing, daily progress will be made as long as you have faith in it and practise consistently.”
If Tom Brady is able to refine his throwing motion and Tiger Woods can revamp his swing, everyone in sports can improve.
Although adjusting his motion isn’t revolutionary, Allen pointed out that every quarterback has inefficiencies that can be improved.
“You show me the perfect throw, I’ll tell you something wrong with it probably,” remarked Allen. “So just making sure I’m crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s there.”
Allen continued, saying he hardly recognises himself from his Wyoming days since he has changed his motion so much over the years.
“I wonder, ‘Who’s that tossing the ball?'” Glancing at earlier videos, he added, “And it’s me.” “It’s kind of gross to look at it sometimes, but I don’t think it’s as gross anymore.”
Allen performed more last season than was generally acknowledged, despite not being selected for the Pro Bowl. The worst setback in his performance was the career-high 18 interceptions. After overhauling the receiver room this offseason, the Bills are counting heavily on the 28-year-old QB carrying the offense in 2024.
