Since the Buffalo Bills traded Stefon Diggs, a common concern over the offseason has been: who will be the team’s top receiver? This is a question that all fans want to know the answer to, as Bleacher Report recently posed. The truth is that we won’t know for sure until the season starts, and even then, the answer might not be clear-cut. This is a brief excerpt from Bleacher Report.
Coleman has received encouraging reports from OTAs thus far; however, on the first day of mandatory minicamp, the receiver group had some difficulties. Though I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on it, can the Bills count on Coleman to be their starting quarterback? The best part is that they won’t need to. From top to bottom, Buffalo’s receiving group is stronger than it was the previous year or the season before. You might say that Diggs is the best player on the Bills if you don’t think he’s lost any ground. But for the past two years, Diggs has been at the top of the receiver room, followed by a number of inconsistent or promising receivers.
Khalil Shakir is anticipated to play a far bigger part in 2024 after stepping up throughout the second half and the playoffs of the previous season. The same can be said for Dalton Kincaid, and Curtis Samuel has shown to be a reliable and productive wide receiver in the NFL. MVS can widen the field, and Chase Claypool is a gifted athlete. In addition to having a lot of potential, this offence will not rely on a single receiver; rather, it will use a variety of receivers depending on the game plan and opponent. Josh Allen’s connection and timing need to be developed, and the Bills offence should be fine.
