Following the game on Thursday night, players from both teams voiced their concerns for Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who experienced a concussion during the loss to the Bills.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen, speaking on the Prime post-game show, articulated a shared worry that extends beyond football to Tagovailoa’s personal well-being, especially considering he dealt with multiple concussions last season, raising doubts about his future in the sport.
“If you know Tua outside of football, as I do, it’s hard not to feel for him,” Allen remarked. “He’s an excellent football player, but even more importantly, he’s an incredible human being. He’s truly one of the best people out there. I care a lot about him, and I’m keeping him and his family in my prayers, hoping everything turns out alright. It’s tough. Football has its ups and downs, and this is definitely a low point.”
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel indicated after the game that Tagovailoa would undergo a comprehensive medical evaluation before any decisions regarding his return to play are made.
