The Montreal Canadiens organization has made some roster adjustments, recently cutting four players from training camp. Notably, forwards Lucas Condotta and Luke Tuch have been reassigned to the Laval Rocket following their game against the Ottawa Senators. It’s possible they could return for the next preseason match, as coach Martin St. Louis mentioned he might rest several veterans towards the end of the preseason.
Additionally, the Canadiens’ AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket, has announced further roster changes, releasing forwards Xavier Cormier and Charles Savoie, along with defensemen Jacob Paquette and Cory Thomas. These players may end up joining the Trois-Rivières Lions, which is the organization’s third tier.
Paquette, who is 25 years old, stands 6’3″ and weighs 201 pounds. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Nashville Predators and played 19 regular-season games and six playoff games with the Trois-Rivières Lions last year. As the season approaches, the team is refining its roster, and fans are looking forward to the official line-ups for the Montreal Canadiens, Laval Rocket, and Trois-Rivières Lions.
