The Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers have shared their final injury reports for Week 5 practices. Both teams feature key players listed as questionable.
The Cardinals will be without rookie guard Isaiah Adams and top cornerback Garrett Williams, who have been declared out. Additionally, Kelvin Beachum, Christian Jones, Matt Prater, and Khyiris Tonga are labeled as questionable. On a positive note, tight end Trey McBride has been cleared from the injury report after passing concussion protocol.
The 49ers have ruled out Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles and Yetur Gross-Matos. Chris Conley is marked as doubtful, while Jacob Cowing, Kalia Davis, George Kittle, Isaac Yiadom, and Fred Warner are all questionable.
Players such as Jordan Elliot, Kevin Givens, Talanoa Hufanga, Kyle Juszczyk, Trent Williams, and Dee Winters have been removed from the injury report and are set to play in Week 5.
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon noted that while teams consider each other’s injury reports, it doesn’t significantly change their game planning.
“You know who your opponents are, right? But I’ve never focused too much on the health issues of the other team, especially when it’s uncertain. If a player is confirmed to be out, that changes things because you won’t plan for him,” Gannon explained.
“The uncertainty around a player’s questionable status—whether they will play or not—is beyond our control. I prioritize the aspects we can manage, such as our performance today and other related factors. We may make slight adjustments for certain players, but ultimately, it’s crucial to focus on what we can influence.
“Regardless of who’s on the field for either team, they are all skilled NFL players, so we need to be at our best.”
The Cardinals and 49ers will both have the chance to promote up to two practice squad players ahead of Week 5.
Inactives will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff, which will be at 1:05 PM on Sunday.
