On Sunday, Josh Allen passed for 323 yards and threw two touchdowns as the Buffalo Bills overcame a slow start to dominate the Tennessee Titans 34-10 in Orchard Park, N.Y.
Allen completed 21 of 33 throws, securing the lead for Buffalo (5-2) with a 12-yard touchdown to Amari Cooper just under five minutes into the third quarter. Acquired from Cleveland just days earlier for two draft picks, Cooper made a strong debut with four receptions for 66 yards.
For Tennessee, Mason Rudolph completed 25 of 40 passes for 215 yards, with one touchdown and one interception, as the team fell to 1-5. Rudolph started in place of Will Levis, who was deactivated due to a shoulder injury.
The Titans had the upper hand in the first half, preventing the Bills from gaining any first downs in the opening quarter. However, they struggled in the second half, gaining only 11 yards on their first 14 plays, and could not sustain their momentum as the Bills took control.
Tennessee began scoring with a 25-yard field goal by Nick Folk with 2:57 left in the first quarter, completing a 13-play drive that lasted over seven minutes. Rudolph extended the lead to 10-0 with 11:31 remaining in the half with a 4-yard touchdown pass to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine after rolling out to the right.
After failing to secure a first down on their initial three possessions, Buffalo finally got going when Allen connected with Keon Coleman for a 44-yard gain, setting up an 11-yard touchdown run by James Cook, bringing the score to 10-7 with 10:04 left in the second quarter.
The second half belonged to the Bills. Following Cooper’s touchdown, Tyler Bass added a 28-yard field goal, increasing their lead to 17-10 with 4:12 left in the third quarter.
Buffalo sealed the game with an additional 17 points in the fourth quarter, starting with a 4-yard touchdown pass from Allen to Ty Johnson, followed by Bass’ 30-yard field goal and a 16-yard touchdown run by Ray Davis just after the two-minute warning.
