The Buffalo Bills did not execute any trades before the NFL’s 2024 deadline, but that doesn’t rule out possibilities in the future.
Could defensive tackle Jordan Phillips make a return to the Bills (7-2)? There’s a chance that could occur.
Phillips, 32, was let go by the Dallas Cowboys on the day of the trade deadline.
Shortly after news of his release broke, Phillips shared a noteworthy post on social media. He posted a picture from his time in Buffalo on his Instagram, accompanied by the caption “run it back.”
Neither the Bills nor Phillips have confirmed his return to Buffalo, but his post has certainly sparked interest and may indicate a potential reunion.
Phillips has experienced a tumultuous relationship with the Cowboys in 2024. He initially signed with the New York Giants this past spring but was later traded to Dallas. After playing a limited role, he was placed on injured reserve due to a wrist injury, which seemed to leave him dissatisfied.
The conclusion of the 2023 season marked the end of Phillips’s second stint in Buffalo. His best season was in 2019 during his first time in western New York, where he achieved 9.5 sacks.
