Kentucky secured a victory against the #6 Duke Blue Devils in Atlanta due to a strong team performance. Andrew Carr shone in the match, scoring 17 points with a shooting accuracy of 5-8 from the field and 2-3 from three-point range, while also contributing five rebounds and three assists.
Although Carr, Otega Oweh, and several others excelled in the win, Jaxson Robinson had a challenging game, managing just one point and missing all four of his field goal attempts, including three from beyond the arc, and making one out of three free throws.
Over the first three games, Robinson has averaged 7.7 points, shooting 37.5% from the field and 25% from three-point range. Despite these modest stats, Kentucky fans shouldn’t be overly concerned about the experienced player. Expectations were high for Robinson to emerge as a standout, but so far this season, the Wildcats have seen three different players lead in scoring. Oweh topped the scoring against Wright State, Koby Brea against Bucknell, and Carr in the significant victory over Duke.
Robinson is likely to find his rhythm as the season progresses, so Kentucky supporters shouldn’t be alarmed by his current performance. The sharpshooter is expected to have several impressive games and will frequently lead the Wildcats in scoring.
