Zion Legree visited Oxford, Mississippi, last weekend to witness the Ole Miss Rebels’ victory over the Georgia Bulldogs.
The game left a strong impression on Legree, leading him to make a significant decision. The 2026 recruit from Pensacola, Florida, chose to commit to Ole Miss, turning down offers from Georgia, Miami, Missouri, Illinois, and Mississippi State, among others.
“It was a great experience. I loved the atmosphere and the support the coaches show me both on and off the field,” Legree stated after his visit, as reported by On3.
He is the first recruit in Kiffin’s 2026 class.
Legree’s rankings vary across platforms: 247Sports and On3 have him as a three-star athlete, while Rivals rates him as a four-star. According to the 247Sports Composite, he is listed as the No. 24 athlete in the 2026 class. Although labeled as an athlete, Ole Miss seems to prefer him as a wide receiver for his future role.
“It’s about their development plan for me and the chances I’ll play early,” Legree mentioned to Rivals regarding his commitment. “I’m very versatile, a dynamic playmaker, well-coached…and I’ll make things easier for the quarterback.”
