Dillon Bell, a wide receiver for the Georgia Bulldogs, exited UGA’s 31-17 victory against the Tennessee Volunteers in the second quarter due to what seemed like an ankle injury and did not return.
“It’s (his) ankle,” Georgia head coach Kirby Smart commented on the injury. “I’m not sure if it’s a serious issue. We evaluated it tonight, and he was unable to play. I can’t determine how severe it is or the duration of his absence. There are quite a few injuries, honestly.”
This season, Bell has recorded 33 catches for 393 yards and four touchdowns. Despite his absence, Georgia’s offense, led by quarterback Carson Beck, maintained a strong performance, accumulating 347 passing yards.
Georgia’s next game is against UMass on Nov. 23. The Bulldogs don’t have to release an injury report in either of their final two regular season games.
