Caleb Wilson, a five-star power forward from Holy Innocents Episcopal School in Georgia, received an offer from Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer in July 2023. About a year later, he included Duke in his top 12 but has since narrowed his choices down to five, which do not include the Blue Devils. His final contenders are Kentucky, UNC, UCF, Tennessee, and Ohio State.
Standing at 6-foot-9 and weighing 205 pounds, Wilson is currently ranked fifth overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite and plans to make his decision in December or January, as reported by On3’s Joe Tipton. Currently, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine favors Kentucky as the top contender for his commitment. Although Wilson initially intended to visit Duke during his senior year, that trip never happened.
This is understandable given that while Wilson was beginning his series of visits in October, Duke had just signed the top power forward of the class, Cameron Boozer from Columbus High School in Florida, who is ranked second nationally among seniors. Less than two weeks later, Duke also secured a commitment from another five-star power forward, Nikolas Khamenia from Harvard-Westlake School in California, ranked 26th overall.
Duke’s 2025 class remains highly regarded, featuring Bellaire High School’s five-star small forward Shelton Henderson and five-star point guard Cayden Boozer, who is Cameron Boozer’s twin, maintaining their position as the top recruiting class in the nation, according to 247Sports.
